2. The RED KETTLES you see in front of Walmart & other locations, are a 6 week church fundraising campaign (the church, aka cops community centers are not self-sustaining) for a Salvationist church that primarily caters to its Salvationist members, a lot of which are on the payroll. Want to give too a church? Consider your church... they can expand their outreach programs! Each local Salvation Army Corps (church) community center has a red kettle campaign (with a few exceptions). The money raised will be used to fund that centers (church) budget for the year. Most of the bell ringers are hired as seasonal help. They are very intentional in who they hire, appearance is everything (poverty profiling)… someone considered to be, or who looks to be- low class, poor or in need…. Thus stimulating your emotions; pimping your allegiance to the cause.
3. The Salvation Army owns real estate in the U.S. with a total value of about $4 billion as of 2008. All complements of your cash and non-cash donations- intended for the poor. This includes residential homes- some costing in excess of $1 million dollars; purchased for their “officers” to live in.
Facts & Informational Links
1. The Salvation Army is not a charity! Rather a church with social service programs, which has its own set of doctrines and teachings, embrace a cult environment and use their church status to discriminate. Their denomination; Salvationism!
While most churches are supported by its congregation, a congregation who knows what and who they are supporting; The Salvation Army is funded by the American public. Though some of its officers and soldiers may display exemplary zeal, the message they carry to the people concerning Christ and man’s hope for the future is not based on an accurate knowledge of God’s Word.
By giving to The Salvation Army you are funding false teachings, and become responsible for
people being lead astray.

"Trust me, the Salvation Army will find ways to fund that crock of a Kroc Center even if it means pushing the needs of those in need off to other counties...they will do whatever it takes, short of the officer families giving up any of their too many benefits to mention. That will never happen...or give up their ability to hire every relative every officer's family has (nepotism is the name of the game at the Salvation Army)...or give up their annual meetings in places like the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island? Never!"

4. The Salvation Army “Officers” benefits package looks like this: All expenses paid complements of you, the donor! “Nice” home, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, vehicles, gas, heating, electric, phone, cell phones, Internet, cable, uniforms, daycare, trips, computers, retirement & cash(spending money) salaries. They live very well! The national average for all of the above is about $73,000.00 per year or more; depending on the type of home you live in, rank and kids- you get more cash for kids. Oh, and grant money to pay their taxes.
5. The Salvation Army does file IRS (nonprofit) Form 990! They file under a disclaimer and in protest, but in order to keep their “church” status, they must submit a 990 to remain eligible.
CFC ruling 88-1 states:
“Organizations that are not required to file IRS Form 990 with the IRS must nonetheless submit a completed copy of that form with their application for national or local eligibility". Think they’re not hiding something:
Charity Navigator- "We know many donors are interested in this organization and have asked the Salvation Army to submit their financial data to us for review, and they have elected to decline, as they are allowed under federal law."
6. The Salvation Army violates both state and federal laws by allowing its employees to purchase items from local food banks for personal use.
7. The Salvation Army has NO independent governing board! The Salvation Army has a national advisory board and each local chapter has its own advisory board, these advisory boards do not have any governing powers! They answer to no one.
8. Resent numbers show:
One unit took in over $2,500,000 in cash and non-cash donations, another $4,000,000 in government funds (still our money) of that, a staggering amount of more than $4,500,000 was paid out in salaries and benefits alone! And that number does not include the other large amounts of operating cost.
A second unit took in $6,053,074.00 in cash and non-cash donations, another $983,736.00 in government funds (still our money) of that, another staggering amount of $4,465,309.00 was paid out yet again, in salaries, benefits and other large amounts of operating cost.
See for yourself...
9. A spokeswoman for the Salvation Army’s national office, Teresa Whitfield, told C&F Report that “The kettle funds are all budgeted locally and stay in the community where they are collected.”
Not True! 10% of the money collected from every unit is sent to its “ divisional/territorial headquarters” to cover yet more operating cost.
10. The Salvation Army discriminates against Christians and non-Christians alike! If you are not a Salvationist, you are considered an “outsider” and fair game for their discriminatory practices.
11. The Salvation Army can be compared to Bernie Madoff's $50 Billion Dollar Ponzi Scheme! You trust them; you validate their work to other people, and you continue to give, year after year. But just like Madoff, the money is being used for an unintended purpose. In most areas more than 80% of the money you give, is being used to maintain and advance The Salvation Army’s denomination of Salvationism. The money you give to help the poor, is paying for; Mass marketing- TV and print ads, lobbyist, high powdered attorneys (hugh attorney fees for things like- harassing people who expose them, discrimination suits, wrongful termination & whistleblower suits), pr-firms, salaries, benefits, maintaining the homes their officers live in, and other expenses that come along with homeownership… as well as travel, maintaining Salvationist churches, fundraising (bell ringer wages), vehicles, etc…
Our tax dollars, which they receive from our city, state and federal government is where most of the program money comes from! The Salvation Army (a so called church, what a joke) is not being honest as to how they really use those red kettle/mail appeal funds; thus deceiving the American public! This is grounds for a class action lawsuit!
12. Sexist army? In the USA, married officers (these are the people in “military” uniforms) only the husband receives a paycheck! Everything- such as retirement, housing, 1099, etc... Are paid under his social security number, and she is made to serve as a “volunteer.”
13. Kroc centers are nothing more than Salvation Army, mega churches! Hints the name; The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps (Church) Community Center. Where program goals are to entice denominational (cult) growth, and most of the jobs being created, require you to become a Salvationist. The millions upon millions in community and corporate donated dollars are being used to build a Salvationist church! They tend to leave that part out when soliciting funds.

14. So what makes The Salvation Army a cult? The following things give them away:
A. Controlling and authoritarian leadership; frequently the leader is seen as a messiah type figure whose word is not to be questioned, and frequently the leadership will expect or demand to be consulted about individual members lifestyle choices eg. getting married. The leader will not be responsible to anyone outside the group (Elders, bishops and rabbis in mainstream groups are all responsible to someone above them, outside the immediate group).
B. Questioning or disagreeing with the teachings of the group is seen as threatening, disloyal or even as a moral assault.
C. The group has an elitist view of life, and sees others outside the group as wrong, deficient, or unredeemed.
D. The group creates a very strong "us and them" mentality in relation to the outside world, and the group isolates itself in various ways from the outside world, perceiving it as an enemy. Frequently this results in group members being isolated deliberately even from their own family.
E. The group sees itself as more important than any of the individual members, and very strong peer pressure is asserted to make sure that the members obey the rules.
D. If they say they believe the Bible or another holy book, then frequently you will find that they base most of their teachings on just one small portion of that book, or a very slanted view (usually the leader's view) of the book.
More info about these specific things is available at - www.csj.org
Examples: Although The Salvation Army states it is an “evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
They, having their own set of doctrines and teachings- exclude the only two new orders given in the New Testament by Jesus himself from their sacraments, communion and baptism; Jesus’ explicit farewell command to his followers was: “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them.” The record of the apostles’ ministry in the Bible book of Acts shows that they obeyed this command. Jesus also instructed his followers respecting the “Lord’s supper,” the final meal he ate with his disciples to memorialize his death: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” Jesus himself put true Christians under obligation to observe them.-Matt. 28:19; Luke 22:19. However, The Salvation Army say's they are not essential to the soul’s salvation.
The Salvation Army “officers” (ministers) cannot marry another Christian only another Salvationist cult member. And not because they want them “equally yoked.” Rather, an “outsider” as they call them- has not been subjected too or raised in the years of brainwashing; allowing an outsider in on all their dirty little secrets would be far too costly.
